Our lawyer has been told that it's taking 15 business days in order to receive the approval for the new birth certificate to be processed. Then it's a few days or so to get the new birth certificate from the region. Typically, at that point, it's about 3 weeks until our pick up trip. Having said all that, uhmmmm, we learned a L~O~N~G time ago to be cautiously optimistic about any timelines.

Went to the neurosurgeon ---- MY HERNIATION IS TERRIBLE!!! So terrible that he wants me to take it easy until I have surgery so I don't rupture it.......But it's a GOOOOOOD TERRIBLE!!! It is so terrible that it qualifies for the BEST AND EASIEST REPAIR THEY CAN DO!!! It's a 20 minute, out-patient, one cut microdiscectomy!!! I will have my surgery at 1:30 on Tuesday 7/29. My eyes popped open at 6:30am. As soon as I was able to work the soreness out of my left leg, the nervous energy hit!!! If you have never had a herniated disc in your back, be glad. I swear I have never ever been in as much pain as I have for the past 4 days! Oh my Lord, I pray that the pain pills that am currently taking, that actually work, don't wear out before it's time for the next one. I wonder it would be ok to BEG the surgeon tomorrow to just go ahead and admit me....I AM READY FOR THIS TO BE OVER!!!!

I have a severely herniated bulging disc in my lower back. I am going for a pre-op appointment with a nuerosurgeon tomorrow at noon. He will tell me what's going on, what type surgery is going to take place and how long I will be out. I am scared....but this doctor is a good one. So I am in good hands. Now I'm terrified that Sydney is going to come home in the middle of all this.
